Ep. 17: Compensation – The ONLY Way to World-Class (3 of 4)
In this third installment of this Compensation series, Andrew shows how a well-designed COMPENSATION SYSTEM creates CONFIDENCE, customer DELIGHT, and a culture that self-regulates. Pay becomes a teacher: it selects for owners (not renters), “smokes out” fear, removes four negative tasks from frontline leaders (docs/productivity/reviews/firing), flattens bureaucracy, and hard-wires outrageous standards (e.g., perfect visits and perfect documentation). The playbook: set a few high standards, brand the model (SuperPay), win influencers, pilot with a winner, train with System Seven, use accountability contracts, and keep adapting without weakening accountability. Result: fewer people paid well → higher quality → stronger economics and retention.
